We aim to help people build confidence. Strengthen skills. Make connections. We are successful in this mission thanks to a small staff and over 100 volunteers.
Last year volunteers contributed more than 16,000 service hours -- the equivalent of 10-12 additional full-time staff. Volunteers serve on committees and our board of directors. They staff our Clothes Closet. They contribute their time and talents to fundraising events. They greet program participants and answer the phone. They donate expertise in business, finance, law, technology, mental health, and the skilled trades.
Our volunteers do not simply enhance our efforts. They, along with clients and staff, have a hand in shaping our organization. This shared leadership model yields an incredibly motivated team. Positive energy created by this team is palpable throughout The Center. Clients and donors alike comment on it.
