Voter Registration


Women are more likely to support funding for social services, and child care, as well as measures combating violence against women. In public opinion surveys, women express concern at higher rates than men about issues such as education, health care, and reproductive rights. Because women are often primary care providers in families, these issues have an especially profound effect on women's lives.

Register to vote at The Women's Center of Southeastern Michigan. It's a short and painless procedure that will take you less time than fixing supper or standing in line at the Secretary of Sate.

Just visit our office at 510 S. Maple Road in Ann Arbor during working hours and pick up a form. You may also print out the voter registration form yourself (Adobe Reader required).  Once the form is complete, just mail it or take it to the clerk in the city or township where you live.

You must be over age 18, a U.S. citizen, and a resident of Michigan and the city or township where you are applying. 

After you've registered, take time to vote. Remember: the lower the income of the voter, the lower the voter turnout. If we don't stand up for ourselves, who will?
