About Us

The Women’s Center is a nonprofit grassroots resource center dedicated to emotional and economic self-determination for women, girls and families.  Our quality services include:

The Women’s Center is a major human service provider in the Washtenaw County area.  Each year, we provide direct services to over 500 women and girls (and some men) which represent about 7500 appointments.  Additionally, we assist an estimated 3000 people who call for help in accessing community resources. Our services help women change their lives.

These services are possible thanks to a loyal staff, an active Board of Directors, generous support from the community, and over 100 volunteers.

Located on Ann Arbor's west side at 510 S. Maple Road, we welcome anyone within traveling distance, which includes Washtenaw, Wayne, Jackson, Lenawee, Monroe, and Oakland counties.

Our Center has six counseling rooms, a group room, large conference room, a jobs center and resource library that is open to the community. We have created safe and welcoming space where women can ask for the support and guidance they need to get their lives back on track.

Whether you are in need of emotional support, are in transition because of a career change, divorce or loss of a partner, or concerned about financial security, The Women’s Center is here for you.
